The ‘Open Letter Against the New Nationalism‘ — written by progressive, fake “Christians” from across American academia — claims that real Christians should 1) ignore the vast majority of teachings from the Old Testament, including the moral law of God — which makes sense (at least to the authors of the letter) considering that they also claim that 2) the historic Christian churches, and Christian statesmen and citizens, have all been fundamentally wrong about crucial moral & political issues for almost 2,000 years, including being wrong about 3) owning private property and claiming national borders… such as those which God delineated for Israel in the same Old Testament which these “scholars” claim should be ignored.

The ‘Open Letter Against the New Nationalism‘ claims that all people — including all illegal immigrants — are sons and daughters of God. That, of course, is false since the New Testament teaches that only those who receive Christ as Savior and Lord are children of God (Jn 1:12, Rom 8:5-9 & 14, 29-30, Gal 3:26-27, et al). The letter also teaches that all human beings are Christians’ ‘neighbors,’ despite the fact that both the Greek words translated as “neighbor” (plisíon and geiton) in the New testament both mean someone who lives in close spatial proximity to us, not someone who lives hundreds and/or thousands of miles away from us. Yes, the Church are called to go and make disciples of all nations, but that’s a Church calling for evangelism, not a national calling to eliminate borders and bankrupt an entire country in an effort to provide financial welfare for every non-citizen on the planet.
