The Origins of Leftist Racial Orthodoxy

The Democratic Party came into prominence in the 1840s by harvesting three out of five uncast slave ballots to check the North’s attempts at abolition.  When Northern Whigs and Abolitionists had enough of Democrat vote padding under the three-fifths compromise, they formed the Republican Party to finally stop slavery for good…  [I]n 1896 the politically tamed United States Supreme Court bowed to the resistance in the case of Plessy v. Ferguson, ruling that ‘separate but equal’ is a perfectly fine interpretation of the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection clause, even though it clearly was not.  This purposeful misinterpretation of the Constitution [by Democrats] led to a system of apartheid in America, where it was suddenly okay to separate blacks and whites in public, taxpayer funded, enterprises and accommodations.  In the South, these were called ‘Jim Crow laws‘, a pejorative description of black citizens meant to add insult to injury.  The laws were designed to remove the political and economic gains black Americans had made in the Republican-led period of post-Civil War Reconstruction…  In 1912, the revitalized Democratic Party elected the despicable racist, Woodrow Wilson – who is still immortalized in Washington D.C. – as president.  This victory was secured by suppressing black Republican votes in the South with literacy tests and the like, while Northern Republicans split their vote between Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft… These were wretched times for black Americans [dominated, as they were, by Democrats]…  In 1954, Thurgood Marshall – a black lawyer trained at Howard University – successfully argued Brown v. Board of Education at the United States Supreme Court, which overruled the ridiculous [Democrat-promoted] Plessy v. Ferguson decision the same court had made 58-years before.  The Equal Protection Clause was finally going to be enforced on behalf of black Americans, 86-years after its initial passage [by Republicans]…  Some [1950s and  early 1960s ] Democrats, though, did not accept the result and engaged in actual insurrection.  Arkansas Governor Orval Fabus [for example] ordered the state’s National Guard armed with assault rifles to surround Little Rock’s Central High School, to prevent black students from attending…  Never willingly bound by facts [however], the Democratic Party sought to switch the historical narrative, to make themselves – incredibly – the heroes of the civil rights movement.  Texas Senator Lyndon Baines Johnson knew how to use legislation to construct a false consciousness.  He backed civil rights legislation that would mostly codify the hard-won gains already made against Democratic opposition…  As president (by way of the Kennedy assassination), [Johnson] spearheaded the Civil Rights Act of 1964, passed mostly by Republicans, and opposed generally by Democrats…  Even though Republicans had presided over all of the major racial advances to that point, they would not get credit.  By [political] narrative sleight-of-hand [a.k.a. ‘lies], and a huge media-assist, Democrats [fraudulently] appropriated the civil rights movement.  President Johnson is credibly reported to have exclaimed upon passage of the law, ‘I’ll have those ni**ers voting Democratic for 200 years.‘  In the late 1960s, Democrats in coordination with media, academia and the most powerful institutions in America, performed the greatest political card trick in history.  Until then, the upper echelons of the Democratic Party had a strong, historical association with racism.  When they could no longer use government to keep black people from their schools, neighborhoods, and clubs, they shamelessly appropriated the civil rights movement to feign a phony moral superiority.  Then they weaponized racism, turning the charge against their political opponents…  Today, civil rights is presented almost exclusively as a project of white liberals who came of age in the 1960s.  Like all of their lies, this one is spectacular in its audacity…  If you took a poll on college campuses [today] and asked students why they are reflexively Democrat, their answer – if they were honest – would be ‘we’re not racist‘.  It has been one of the most successful propaganda efforts ever launched.  How were they able to twist history?  The simple answer in the modern political lexicon is: fake news.

When white Americans finally began to see the justice of Martin Luther King’s cause and the injustice of Jim Crow, leftists pushed harder and harder to include items under the rubric of ‘civil rights‘ that King, a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus, would never have approved of.  ‘Civil rights‘ became a foot-in-the-door that leftists used to attack and destroy all ‘social restraints and categories’ in American society.  Want to kill your unborn baby?  That’s a ‘civil right‘.  Marry another man?  ‘Civil right‘.  Dress in drag and use a woman’s bathroom?  Another ‘civil right‘…  The anti-conservative alliance between the [political] left and blacks… neatly explains why Tea Party whites who admire the likes of [now-deceased] Herman Cain and Allen West are nonetheless tagged as ‘racists‘ by the left.  It explains why Democratic Party leftists welcomed former KKK member Sen. Robert Byrd into their fold while slandering former Sen. Trent Lott as a ‘racist‘.  It explains why the Republican Party, founded in 1854 as an anti-slavery party…

… routinely loses 95% or more of the black vote; it explains why the conservative Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas is the most hated man in black America — hated more than the reprehensible O.J. Simpson…  Left-wing racial rhetoric about ‘fairness‘ and ‘equality‘ and ‘non-discrimination‘ has been used to conceal a subterranean leftist agenda of anti-Americanism and anti-conservatism for over fifty years.

In measure after measure, positive change for Black Americans was actually faster in the decades before the civil rights revolution than in the decades after.

One of the travesties of modern American politics is the fealty the blacks have to the Democrat party.  Even as more blacks ha[d] shifted to supporting Trump [by 2020], the reality is that Democrats, on average, can rely on receiving more than 80% of black votes.  Blacks do so even though when it comes to destroying blacks, the Democrats are doing as good a job now as they did during all the years of slavery and Jim Crow.

Anti-Racist Racism: a.k.a.  Woke -ism

“[So-called] Antiracists refer to [individualism and meritocracy] as ‘white values‘…  [This] trend of racializing everything… is increasing racial conflict, while trivializing the remnants of real racism in America…  Essential to antiracism’s orthopraxy is the redistribution of goods, services, opportunities, income, and wealth from mainstream America to blacks.  This reallocation is based on the idea of outcome inequity…  The persistent focus on the structural ‘sins’ of white people is contingent upon the repeated proposition that blacks remain victims…  Therefore, antiracists and critical race theorists intentionally focus on structural influences and structural remediation rather than individual choices and behavior…  [But  m]aintaining the belief that this obscure ‘system is responsible for both black suffering and its cure is a contradiction in terms…  Transferring the responsibility and agency of problem-solving from blacks onto American institutions rigidly reinforces and petrifies a form of racial helplessness, and ultimately indignity, in the very people antiracists claim to want to help.  Does this sympathetic, chauvinistic form of intercessory liberation through socially engineered coercion (and reparation) create or improve black dignity?  No.  Does it contribute anything meaningful or substantial to black development?  No.  Does it build a foundation for American blacks to thrive as a result of their own agency?  No…  At its core, these redistributive policies constitute theft, but also ensure black dependency.  They nurture antipathy, perpetuate blame, and deliberately assign such blame to people who are guiltless.  They also contribute nothing to personal development [or] individual progress…  Social policies that validate personal impotence through reallocation (stealing) from one group of people, however noble the cause is rationalized to be (racial and social ‘justice‘) is itself unjust…  Antiracists would rather have blacks maintain their position of presumed helplessness, reinforcing their social inferiority…  Black people possess the ability to give up their preoccupation with an identity composed of grievance and victimization…  But for this to happen, blacks must humbly admit that they are suffering from a moral and existential oversight.

[C]ontrary to common usage as specified in dictionaries, racism has been redefined by sociologists as ‘prejudice plus power‘, so that only white people, who are falsely claimed to exclusively hold all of the power, can be said to be racist.  This is convenient for the anti-racism industry, because once racism is so defined and white people identified as power-holders, then all whites are automatically white supremacists…  As well as vilifying white people by arbitrary definition, the ‘anti-racism‘ industry has manufactured a series of blatant lies that fly in the face of all empirical evidence… [As a result,] thousands of injustices [against innocent, non-racist whites] have been perpetrated by the lies of the anti-racism industry [which includes millions of white leftists]…  That African Americans are ‘systematically targeted for demise‘ by police and whites is a blatant lie, and the  statistics  prove it…  [T]he anti-racism industry, which [is, in reality] an anti-white movement, has quite falsely stated that the virtues needed for success in society and in the world are characteristics of ‘whiteness‘, rather than characteristics of success.  The  alleged characteristics  of ‘whiteness‘ are a devotion to hard work as a means to success, rational, logical thinking, belief in science, postponement of gratification, speaking standard American English, searching for correct answers, politeness and courtesy, promptness, quantitative emphasis, two-parent families, respect for authority, and devotion to occupation.  If these are characteristics of ‘whiteness‘, everyone needs more of them, not less.  And what, then, are the characteristics of ‘blackness‘?  Are we to believe that African Americans disdain these values and hold opposite ones: avoiding work, illogical thinking, immediate gratification, not searching for right answers, rejection of authority, rudeness, etc.?

The Left’s War on Minorities, the Poor, & Working Americans

[A]nyone who tells you that immigration doesn’t have any negative effects doesn’t understand how it really works.  When the supply of workers goes up, the price that firms have to pay to hire workers goes down.  Wage trends over the past half-century suggest that a 10 percent increase in the number of workers with a particular set of skills probably lowers the wage of that group by at least 3 percent.  Even after the economy has fully adjusted, those skill groups that received the most immigrants will still offer lower pay relative to those that received fewer immigrants. Both low- and high-skilled natives are affected by the influx of immigrants.  But because a disproportionate percentage of immigrants have few skills, it is low-skilled American workers, including many blacks and hispanics, who have suffered most from this wage dip.  The monetary loss is sizable.

Entitlements (e.g. Welfare):

… when enlightened social scientists, like Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY), suggested that inept  entitlement programs  create and sustain generational dependencies, such arguments are often dismissed as racism…  The NY Times and like-minded [liberal] social theorists ignore the key sources of social motivation — and then fail to reform those government programs, such as intemperate welfare and impotent [ governmenteducation , which actually make social and economic poverty possible.

Blacks Under Obama:

African-Americans aged 18-34 ha[d] the lowest employment rate (54%, in 2012) [after four years of Barack Obama as President] since the government started tracking in 1948.  African-American youth unemployment [was] 39.3% (ages 16-19) and [was] nearly double the 20.9% unemployment rate for whites in the same age demographic.  Total African-American unemployment [was] 14.1%, while overall national unemployment [then stood] at 8.1%.  Two point five million African-Americans [then] looking for work but [couldn’t] find a job.  African-Americans [made] up a disproportionately large share of the unemployed and long-term unemployed.  They account[ed] for roughly 19 percent of the total unemployed population, 23 percent of those unemployed for more than six months, and 26 percent of those unemployed for 99 or more weeks.  The typical unemployment spell last[ed] roughly seven months (28.4 weeks) for an African-American worker, compared to less than five months (19.2 weeks) for all workers.  African-Americans [were then, and still] are more likely to be unemployed than the overall population across all levels of educational attainment.  While the unemployment rate for African-Americans without a high school diploma was 21.7 percent [in 2012], the overall unemployment rate for those without a high school diploma was 15.0 percent… The median income of African-American households was $32,068, a decline of 3.2 percent from 2009 [when Barack Obama began his presidency]…  Since 2007, African-American median household income ha[d] declined by 10.1 percent-the largest decline of all major racial and ethnic groups.

We [were, back in 2012 — after four years of Barack Obama as President] experiencing a 28-year high in black unemployment; but unlike January 1983, when black unemployment spiked but then soon improved, Barack Obama’s black unemployment ha[d] hovered in the 14%-16% range for over three years…  Teen black unemployment [was, at that time] at a terrible 39.3%.  The number of children living under the poverty line is as high as it has ever been…  [B]lack illegitimate births have peaked at 72.5% of all black births, and sexually transmitted diseases are up — particularly for black kids, for whom chlamydia occurs 3.8 times more than for Hispanics and 7.5 times more than for whites.  New York now aborts of 60% of its black babies…
