That is not a hard question to answer — at least for liberals. Since “government” to liberals, now, means fascism, they perceive “votes” to be mere opinions to be taken or left depending on their submission to liberalism, they perceive “borders” to be controlled only for the purpose of preventing dissenters from escaping, and they perceive “citizens” to be mere puppets, not to be “protected” but to be operated like robots, and discarded if they don’t “function properly.”
